The diversity disappears because in the current "production" process only "standard products" are tolerated. The animals must be uniform. All the same size, the same weight. This way they can go in the same box, on the same battery, in an automated slaughter line. This simplifies the industrial production process. The "modern" breeds grow up in protected conditions and meet the high production standards thanks to concentrates and "ideal" living conditions. These breeds are often no longer suitable for fulfilling the task that they did for decades, such as grazing (nature) areas and therefore maintaining the natural value of these areas.
